SAIMUN 2026 Concludes with a Grand Celebration of Leadership, Learning and Global Collaboration

The 14th edition of the SAI Model United Nations Conference (SAIMUN) 2026 concluded on a high note with a spectacular Closing Ceremony held at the Indraprastha Auditorium, bringing together delegates, educators, distinguished guests, and the SAI community to celebrate several days of meaningful dialogue, diplomacy, and international collaboration.

The ceremony commenced with the arrival of the distinguished guest, followed by a graceful bouquet presentation and an enthralling cultural dance performance that set the tone for an evening of celebration. A special presentation revisiting memorable moments from Day I of SAIMUN allowed delegates to reflect on a journey filled with passionate debates, collaborative problem-solving, cultural exchange, and lasting friendships.

The highlight of the afternoon was an inspiring keynote session by Shri Suresh Srinivasan, whose engaging address encouraged delegates to embrace lifelong learning, purposeful leadership, and the courage to create meaningful change. His insightful reflections resonated deeply with the young participants, reinforcing the values of empathy, resilience, and global citizenship that lie at the heart of the Model United Nations experience.

Following the keynote session, the formal proceedings continued with a warm welcome by the Head Girl of SAI International School, followed by an inspiring address from Dr. Silpi Sahoo, Chairperson, SAI International Group, who applauded the delegates for their dedication, intellectual curiosity, and commitment to building a more peaceful and inclusive world.

A proud moment of the ceremony was the official release of the SAIMUN Tribune, capturing the remarkable journey, achievements, and voices of the conference. The celebrations continued with the presentation of certificates to the Executive Board Members and International Press, recognising their invaluable contributions in ensuring the smooth conduct of the conference.

The excitement reached its peak during the awards presentation, where outstanding delegates and school delegations were honoured for their exceptional performances, diplomatic excellence, and collaborative spirit. The ceremony celebrated not only individual accomplishments but also the collective enthusiasm, commitment, and camaraderie that defined SAIMUN 2026.

The event concluded with an inspiring address by the Secretary General of SAIMUN 2026, expressing gratitude to every delegate, Executive Board member, mentor, and organiser who contributed to the conference's success. The Vote of Thanks by Shri Amitabh Agnihotri, Associate Director and Headmaster, SAI International Residential School, acknowledged the unwavering support of participants, educators, volunteers, and partners before Dr. Silpi Sahoo officially declared SAIMUN 2026 closed, bringing an unforgettable chapter of learning and leadership to a fitting close.

Though the conference has concluded, the conversations, perspectives, and friendships forged during SAIMUN 2026 will continue to inspire delegates as they return to their schools empowered to become compassionate leaders, confident communicators, and responsible global citizens. The conference once again reaffirmed SAI International's commitment to nurturing young minds capable of creating positive change through dialogue, diplomacy, and purposeful action.
