2018 – ICONS & ACHIEVERS

  • All India Senior School Certificate Examination (AISSCE) 2018: Pranav Manie with 98% in Commerce is the School Topper, followed by Komal Trishna with 97.4% in the 2nd position and the third place is shared by Aman Kumar Agarwal, Garima Agarwalla, Abhiskek Bhudolia, Preeyal Poddar and Visakha Raghuram with 95.8%.
  • All India Senior School Certificate Examination (AISSCE) 2018: In the Science stream Ashwini Acharya is the School Topper with an aggregate of 97.4%, followed by Sohan Kumar Parida in the 2nd position with 97.2% and the 3rd position was shared by Sameer Patra and Uday Sharma with 96.6%.
  • All India Senior School Certificate Examination (AISSCE) 2018: The Topper of the Humanities stream is Parthabi Kanungo with 96.6%. Adyasha Patra scored 96.4% to take the 2nd position and Malavika Ranjan with 95.8% got the 3rd position.
  • Class X CBSE examination 2018: Soumya Sudatta Nanda is the School Topper of the year with 97.8%. The 2nd place is shared by Aditi Rout and Ananya Mahapatra with 97.6%, followed by Shruti Mishra with 97.4% to get the 3rd position.
  • 8th Dada Saheb Phalke Film Festival Award 2018 in two categories – The short movie ‘Journey of 4,000 Miles – India to China and Back’ won the Best Documentary award, ‘Youth for Peace’ got the award for Best Public Service Ad (PSA). SAIoneers Rupali Mohanty and Partho Mohanty, representing the entire team, received the award at the 8th Dada Saheb Phalke Film Festival.
  • SAIoneer Arihant Tripathy of Class VIII was felicitated by the Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) in the august presence of Shri P.P.Chaudhary, Union Minister of State for the Law and Justice and the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Padma Shri Dr. Y.S.Rajan, Scientist ISRO and Shri Mahabir Singh, Founder & Director, SOF. He received the award at the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi for securing the International Rank 1 in the National Cyber Olympiad 2017-18. He was awarded with a Gold Medal, Certificate of Outstanding Performance along with a cash prize of Rs 50,000/-. Earlier, Arihant had won the Gold medal in Educational Assessment Australia, University of New South Wales (EAA-UNSW) for securing the highest grade among the participating students for three successive years.
  • SAIoneer Sameer Patro secured the 16th position in the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) MBBS Entrance Examination 2018. Earlier Sameer had emerged as the State Topper in CBSE’s National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2018 and got the All India Rank (AIR) 30.
  • SAIoneer Ankita Sahoo of Class VIII is selected to represent Odisha in the National U-15 Open Chess Championship 2018. Earlier she won the 1st Runners Up prize in Odisha State Under-15 Open and Girls Chess Championship 2018.
  • Sanchee Sahoo of Class V has brought laurels to the School by becoming the lone participant to represent Odisha in the U-10 Girls category at the Commonwealth Chess Championship 2018.
  • Six Scouts and Guides of SAI International School received the prestigious Rajya Puraskar during the 31st Rajya Puraskar Award Ceremony of Bharat Scouts and Guides, held at Raj Bhawan. The winners were Apoorva Sudhir and Akanksha Mohapatra from Class X and Niharika Dash, Sourav Bhuyan, Satakshi Negi and Nasrin Farat from Class IX.
  • A 14-member drama troupe of SAI International School won the second prize in the Skit Competition held by Income Tax Department, Government of India on the occasion of ‘Income Tax Day’.
  • SAIoneer Malavika Ranjan secured All India Rank 21 in Humanities and Social Sciences Entrance Examination (HSEE) – 2018.
  • SAIoneer Satavisha Das qualified for the final round of Junior Model International Pageant 2018. She is among the final 44 participants, selected from 890 candidates from across the country. The Class VI student displayed great competency on areas like music, dance, personality etc.
  • SAIoneers proved their mettle once again by winning laurels in the Project Modelling competition organised by CSIR-Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology (IMMT). In the junior category, Class IX students Piyush P Singh and Sutirth Rath bagged the 2nd position for their project ‘Recycling Smoke’,. Inthe senior category, Sai Sambit and Anurag Patra of Class XII, won the 2nd position for their project ‘HOMER’.
  • SAIoneer Krishna Tanutrishna of Class-VIII received the Running Shield from Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik on behalf of the State Guide Unit, during the 72nd State-level Independence Day celebration.
  • The 3-member team from SAI International School, Shivangi Sharma, Ananya Mohapatra and Sanskriti Pattnaik won the first prize in the State-level Symposium organised by The Samaja.
  • Shivangi Vikas Mishra, Shree Rath and Shreya Rath of Class-X won the first, second and third prize respectively in the English Debate competition organised by Gopabandhu Smruti Sansad on the occasion of Independence Day.
  • Nandini Biswal of Class IX bagged a Silver medal and Sakshi Agarwal of Class XII won a Bronze medal in the 4th 11 Sports Inter-school Table Tennis State Championship 2018.
  • Class XII students Anurag Patra and Priyam Nayak bagged the first position in the State level Quiz competition organised by Indian Institute of Metals (IIM), Bhubaneswar Chapter.
  • The smart project of Ashutosh Sahoo and Soumya Ranjan Das of Class X earned them the Most Popular Award by the Jury in the STEM Exhibition held at Mother’s Public School.
  • Two teachers of SAI International School, Ms. Jayanti Garnaik and Ms. Susmita Samantoroy, were honoured with the Best Teacher Award, by Shri Surya Narayan Patro, Minister Co-Operation, Food Supplies & Consumer Welfare, on the occasion of Teacher’s Day. The award instituted by Confederation of Odisha Public School (COPS) was given away at the State Level Guru Samman Utsav.
  • SAIoneers Swastik Das and Priyanshu Mishra of XII Science participated and were conferred Runners Up in the Regional Level of the Bhubaneswar edition of  TCS IT Wiz 2018.
  • Apekshik Panigrahi of Class XI has been selected for the semi-finals of the Breakthrough Junior Challenge, 2018.
